Areas of Local Concentration
Three areas of local concentration of winery events have been identified by the Board of Supervisors and local stakeholder groups have been working to develop Guidelines with standards and siting criteria for these areas. Staff is facilitating the process with the local groups.
Dry Creek Valley
With a grape-growing history going back 140 years, the compact Dry Creek Valley American viticultural area (AVA) includes more than 9,000 vineyard acres and over 70 wineries, one deli, and no stoplights in an area only 16 miles long and two miles wide.
