Information, meeting agendas, and actions of the Sonoma County Planning Agency, Planning Commission, and Zoning Administrator.
Structure
Planning Commission
Conducts public hearings and makes decisions on applications for subdivisions, mining permits, and legislative policy matters such as the General Plan, Specific Plans, and Zoning changes.
- Meets: 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month and as needed, at 1:00 PM.
Zoning Administrator
Part of the Sonoma County Planning Agency, discusses specified discretionary land use permits and variances, coastal development permits, and subdivisions creating less than five (5) lots.”
- Meets: 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month and as needed, at 1:00 PM.
Planning Agency
The Planning Agency is made up of the Commissioners on both the Planning Commission and the Zoning Administrator. The Planning Agency also holds joint meetings. Topics can include planning issues, policies, new information, and staff reviews of the status of certain programs or projects.
Meets: 5th Thursday of each month that has one and as needed, at 1:00 PM (or as otherwise noted). No action is taken at these meetings.
All Meetings are in a Hybrid Format.
All Planning Agency, Planning Commission and the Zoning Administrator s meetings will be held at the Permit Sonoma Hearing Room, 2550 Ventura Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95403. Members of the Public May Attend the Meeting in Person or Virtually on Zoom. Public attendees will have an opportunity to submit live comments during the hearing in-person only.
