Board of Supervisors Ordinance No. 6398
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors met on December 13, 2022, and adopted Ordinance No. 6398, “An Ordinance Of The Board Of Supervisors Of The County Of Sonoma, State Of California, Amending Chapters 40 (Sonoma Complex Fires Disaster Recovery), 40A (Kincade Fire Disaster Recovery), 40C (LNU Lightning Complex Disaster Recovery), And 40D (Glass Incident Disaster Recovery) Of The Sonoma County Code, and Determining Exemption from the California Environmental Quality Act.”
Ordinance No. 6398 makes the following changes to Sonoma County Code Chapter 40:
- Amend Section 40-4.A to extend the expiration of Chapter 40 to December 31, 2024; and
- Repeal Section 40-47 to discontinue the prohibition on the establishment and operation of new vacation rentals within the Sonoma Complex Fire burn area, as defined.
Ordinance No. 6398 makes the following changes to Sonoma County Code Chapter 40A:
- Amend Section 40A-5.A to extend the expiration of Chapter 40A to December 31, 2024; and
- Repeal Section 40A-47 to discontinue the prohibition on the establishment and operation of new vacation rentals within the Kincade Fire burn area, as defined.
Ordinance No. 6398 makes the following changes to Sonoma County Code Chapter 40C:
- Amend Section 40C-5.A to extend the expiration of Chapter 40C to December 31, 2024; and
- Repeal Section 40C-47 to discontinue the prohibition on the establishment and operation of new vacation rentals within the LNU Lightning Complex Fires burn area, as defined.
Ordinance No. 6398 makes the following changes to Sonoma County Code Chapter 40D:
- Amend Section 40D-5.A to extend the expiration of Chapter 40D to December 31, 2024; and
- Repeal Section 40D-47 to discontinue the prohibition on the establishment and operation of new vacation rentals within the Glass Incident burn area, as defined.
Ordinance No. 6398 determines that the ordinance is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to Sections 15301, 15302, 15303, and 15305 of the State CEQA Guidelines (14 Cal. Code Regs., §§ 15000 et seq.).
Ordinance No. 6398 will take effect 30 days after the date of adoption.
