The Sonoma County Permit and Resource Management Department (Permit Sonoma) is preparing an update to the Housing Element of the Sonoma County General Plan 2020 and has determined that a Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be necessary to evaluate environmental impacts of the Housing Element Update. The County invites comments regarding the preparation of the Program EIR.
The public scoping meeting will consist of a presentation to help attendees learn about the CEQA process and the proposed project. There will be an opportunity for attendees to provide comment on the type and extent of environmental analyses for the project. The EIR scoping meeting is not for discussing the merits of the project, specific policies, programs, or sites. Future meetings will address the other specifics of the project, and written comment on the Housing Element Update can also be sent to PermitSonoma-Housing@sonoma-county.org.
