What You Need to Know About the State Water Use Order
The State Water Resources Control Board has required property owners in four Russian River subbasins (Dutch, Green Valley, portions of Mark West, and Mill Creeks) to report their water use. Changes to the Green Building Process
Beginning September 1, 2015, CALGreen field verification will shift from being a duty of a PRMD field inspector, to that of a CALGreen Special Inspector. PRMD is making this change due to the ever increasing role of green building standards and also in an effort to more closely align our CALGreen requirements with those of surrounding jurisdictions. Vacation Rentals Ordinance Review
As directed by the Board of Supervisors, a review of the County’s Vacation Rental program has been initiated. The review process will include a robust community participation process, and will look at a wide range of issues including neighborhood compatibility and vacation rental management. Ways to better enforce the existing vacation rental ordinance provisions will also be examined. Read full story
Residential Demolition and Road Closure at 6015 and 6033 Highway 1, Bodega Bay
Update: Permit and Resource Management Department (PRMD) Staff has issued an Emergency Coastal Development Permit at 6015 Highway 1 and a Coastal Development Permit at 6033 Highway 1, Bodega Bay (Gleason’s Beach) for demolition of a house and destruction of a septic system on each lot to avoid further land failure and undermining of adjacent Highway 1. Staff has also issued consequent demolition permits for each lot. The permitted work may require closure of the southbound lane of Highway 1 along the property frontages December 8-12 and 15-19 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Read full story
