The Fire Prevention Division provides the following permits, inspections, and assessments but are not limited to:

Burn Permits
Issued by the Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD)
Hazardous Materials Unit
The Hazardous Materials Division provides the following permits and inspections:
- Aboveground Petroleum Storage
- Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP)
- California Accidental Release Prevention (CalARP)
- Hazardous Waste Generator (HWG)
- Underground Storage Tanks (USTs)
