Hazardous Waste Generator (HWG)

Permit Sonoma Fire Prevention

Sonoma County Fire and Emergency Services Department Hazardous Materials Division maintains records and conducts inspections of hazardous waste generators within county jurisdictional boundaries.

Businesses that generate hazardous waste are required to submit a Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) when they move into the county or begin generating hazardous waste.

The Hazardous Materials Division charges hazardous waste generators an annual fee based on the quantity and/or type of waste generated.
