M-01 2020-Current: Fireplace Log Lighter Installation Restrictions
A fireplace log ignition outlet is not considered an appliance, but as an accessory to a fireplace. As an unlisted appliance some restrictions apply to its use and location.

Technical Details
Gas log lighters are prohibited in fireplaces located in any bedroom or room used for sleeping purposes.
Any Liquified-Petroleum Gas fired log lighters are prohibited in multi-level rooms that create an area where unburned fuel or vapors may collect.
When installed in a premanufactured fireplace, the unit must be listed for its installation.
