Temporary Cannabis Hoop Structure Permit
A Cannabis Hoop House or temporary membrane structure permit is required for all hoop house permits associated with Cannabis Use Permits and agricultural permits. Apply for a Temporary Cannabis Hoop Structure Permit

Division Role in County Cannabis Program
The Permit Sonoma Fire Prevention and Hazardous Materials Division's role in the Sonoma County Cannabis program is to:
- Conduct fire safety and hazardous materials inspections, and
- Issue operational permits based on storage of specific hazardous materials, processes and operations associated with cannabis:
- Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA), Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) for:
- Greater than 55 gallons of a liquid
- 200 standard cubic feet of a compressed gas
- 500 pounds of a solid
- Permits:
- Cultivation
- Distribution
- Manufacturing (non-volatile)
- Testing and Laboratory
- Outdoor cultivation over 10,000 square feet
- Commercial cultivation
- Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA), Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) for:
Construction Permits and Fire Apparatus Access Roads
The Fire Prevention Division works in conjunction with the Building Division through established procedures to provide review of plan submittals to ensure fire safety.

Use Permit Conditions of Approval
Cannabis operations requiring a Sonoma County Cannabis Use Permit from Permit Sonoma will require a final sign off by the Fire Prevention Division and/or the Local Fire District, when required by the conditions of approval under Fire Prevention. At a minimum, a completed Fire Safety Plan shall be provided and a possible site inspection may need to be performed. This is to ensure all fire and life safety requirements are provided. If the facility or property is approved and allowed for occupancy under the use permit. the property may be subject to annual permitting and inspection by the fire authority and the Fire Prevention Division.
