TranslateAdministrative Citation Program
On August 24, 2018, Permit Sonoma began implementing our administrative citation program, supporting our goal of establishing a safe and healthy community. This program provides an additional tool for enforcement, enabling the County to enforce various codes and ordinances via less stringent enforcement action. Administrative citations give us the ability to respond immediately to transient and nuisance violations in the field.Examples of citations include the following:
- Fence violations
- Junkyard conditions
- Vacation rentals
- Cannabis enforcement
- Non-operative motor vehicles

7-0-18 Administrative Citation / Correction Notice Issuance and Processing
The intent of this policy is to provide a consistent and standardized framework for staff when contemplating the issuance of an administrative citation for enforcement of provisions of the Sonoma County Code and/or other state and local codes and ordinances.
This includes information and forms for requesting an appeal of an administrative citation and requesting an advanced deposit hardship waiver.
