Funding

Policy 7.01

Consider establishing greenhouse gas impact fees for new development. Use a portion of this fee to fund planning, design, and construction of bikeways and pedestrian facilities.

Policy 7.02

Work with Federal, State, regional, and local agencies and any other available public or private funding sources to secure funding for bikeways and pedestrian facilities.

Policy 7.03

Encourage multi-jurisdictional funding applications for design, construction and maintenance of bikeways and pedestrian facilities that provide regional connectivity.

Policy 7.04

Develop a long range strategy to provide long term funding necessary to maintain and operate the Class I bikeway network.
