County Introduces New Online and Mobile Permit Appointment Scheduling Tool
Santa Rosa,CA | March 21, 2018
In a continuing effort to reduce wait times and improve customer experience, the County of Sonoma’s Permit Center has implemented new software that enables customers to schedule appointments. This new tool also allows residents, businesses and employees to join today’s line remotely, instead of waiting in the lobby.
“We have record levels of business, serving more than 100 customers in our Permit Center each day,” said Tennis Wick, Permit Sonoma Director, “We are committed to providing high quality service in an industry that is critical to the local economy.”
The new queuing system provides estimated wait times based on real-time data. The tool includes a text messaging option to update customers on their wait time, notifying them when they move to the front of the line. This gives individuals the flexibility to wait at home, while running errands, or if they choose, in the Permit Center waiting area.
Permit Sonoma’s Permit Center, located at 2550 Ventura Avenue in Santa Rosa, is the one stop shop for obtaining various permits or finding out permit history information for unincorporated areas of Sonoma County.
