SoCo Adapts is adminstered by Permit Sonoma's Fire Prevention & Hazmat Division. Funded through FEMA and CAL OES, our grants tackle wildfire risk "house-out, landscape in," giving residents expert advice, finacial help, and on-the-ground-support - with zero code-enforcement risk.

The Wildfire Adapted program supports property owner by providing defensible space and home wildfire risk assessments. Through community workshops, resrouces and rebates, the Wildfire Adapted program helps property owners understand, priorotize and complete risk-reduction projects.

BRIC-Funded Curbside & Full Assessments

Wildfire Resilient Communities (formerly known as BRIC) supports the community by evaluating properties for defensible space and structral vulnerabilties, identifying priorty site for large scale vegetation management, and offering workshops, webinars, and resources to help educate residents how to reduce wildfire risk from home outward and the landscape inward.

SoCo Adapts works side-by-side with local fire districts, CAL FIRE, Sonoma County Fire District, Rancho Adobe Fire District, FEMA, Fire Safe Sonoma Cal-OES and other trusted organziations to bring cutting-edge science, training, and resources to Sonoma County. Thier expertise amplifies our grant programs - turning best practices into on-the-ground action that protects homes, forest and future generations.
